We do not use advertising cookies, we do not track you across websites, and we do not use any third-party analytics tools. The Platform uses only the three kinds of cookies below.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small piece of text that a website saves in your browser. Browser "local storage" works in a similar way, except that it is not sent to the server automatically with each visit. Below we refer to both as cookies and list them separately.
Strictly necessary cookies
Signing in, e-signing and similar features cannot work without them, so they cannot be switched off individually.
- Sign-in session
Purpose: remembers who you are after you sign in, so you do not have to sign in again on every page; it comes with a companion cookie that protects against cross-site request forgery.
Retention: 7 days for the sign-in session, cleared immediately when you log out; the companion cookie expires when you close your browser. - Visitor identifier (bao_phantom_user_id)
Purpose: when you open a signing link or a share link without being signed in, we generate a random identifier so that this visit can be matched with your subsequent verification, viewing and signing records.
Retention: 1 year. - Visitor verification (guest_session_id)
Purpose: after you pass SMS verification on a share link, remembers that verification so you do not have to repeat it when you open the link again during this period.
Retention: 7 days. - Account-linking confirmation (bao_fangcloud_pending_bind)
Purpose: used only when you sign in through 360 Fangcloud and need to confirm linking to an existing account; it holds the details awaiting your confirmation.
Retention: 10 minutes.
Preference cookies
These remember your choices. Clearing them does not affect your use of the Platform; the related settings simply return to their defaults.
- Interface language (bao_lang)
Purpose: remembers whether you chose the Chinese or the English interface.
Retention: 1 year. - Dismissed notices (bao_mkt_announce_off, kb-onboarding-dismissed)
Purpose: remembers the announcement bar and onboarding guide you have closed, so they do not keep reappearing.
Retention: 30 days. - Browser local storage
Purpose: stores interface state such as dark / light mode, font size, panel widths and collapsed states, recently visited pages and generation tasks still in progress. This stays in your browser only.
Retention: kept until you clear your browser data.
Referral cookies
- Referral code (bl_ref)
Purpose: when you arrive through someone's referral link or QR code, remembers the referral code so that the referrer can be rewarded after you register. It is not set if you do not arrive through a referral link.
Retention: 90 days.
Third-party cookies
Some features of the Platform are delivered through third-party pages, such as the Kingsoft Office WPS online document editor and the Fadada identity-verification and signing pages. When you use these features, the provider may set cookies under its own domain, which are governed by that provider's privacy policy. The list of providers and the information we share with them is in the "Third-party service providers" section of our Privacy Policy.
How to manage cookies
- You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can clear local storage there too.
- If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in or complete a signing.
- Deleting preference cookies and referral cookies does not affect your use of the Platform.

When we add or change cookies we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
